TATUM is an independent Cape Town label founded and designed by Tatum Teale.

Created around the idea that we need fewer, better things, TATUM makes considered pieces designed to move between swimwear, underwear, activewear and everyday dressing.

We don’t design for one season or one moment. We design pieces you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.

MADE IN CAPE TOWN

Every TATUM piece is designed and made locally in Cape Town.

We work with local makers and suppliers, keeping our production close to home and supporting the skills, businesses and people behind every garment.

Small-scale production allows us to make more thoughtfully, produce less unnecessarily and remain connected to how our clothing is actually made.

SLOW, BY DESIGN

We don’t believe in producing more simply because we can.

TATUM is produced slowly and intentionally, with much of our collection made to order. This allows us to respond to what our customers actually want rather than creating excess stock destined to become waste.

It’s a slower way of doing things.

We think it’s a better one.

Multifunctionality has been part of TATUM from the beginning.

A bikini top becomes a bralette. A swimsuit becomes a bodysuit. A crop moves from the ocean to lunch, movement or everyday life.

Our pieces are deliberately simple, comfortable and versatile — designed to work harder in your wardrobe and stay there longer.
